Describe your sound:
Put simply, my music is folk-pop. If peace and love have a sound, I hope my music captures it. Rhythmic guitars – especially acoustic guitars lately – drive many of my songs. And the lyrics matter.
Who are your influences?:
Kurt Vonnegut, Clint Eastwood, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Neil Young, Leon Bridges, Brother Ali, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pete Seeger, My Morning Jacket, Kendrick Lamar, Wilco, Lionel Richie, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Sturgill Simpson, Buddy Holly, CCR, Frank Ocean, Mac DeMarco, Robert Johnson, Rush, Tenacious D. I could really go on for a long time.
Favorite Venue to Play:
I played a Springsteen tribute show a few years back at Shank Hall – that’s a pretty sweet Milwaukee venue.
Where did you record?/Who did you work with?/How was the experience?
I recorded my new single, “Got Your Back,” at National Recording on Milwaukee’s south side. I worked with Mitch Roberts mostly. It was a positive experience, for sure. We were able to capture a little bit of magic, and I’m proud of the recording we produced.
Anything else the world should know about you?
I sing for peace and love. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support of my family and friends. My favorite advice is “Be great or be gone.”
